Famous Content Management System / Blogging Platform, Wordpress is now putting milestones in it's path of successful journey. The Blogging Platform now powers about 71 Million Blogs. As per the deep look of Technorati, Wordpress Has Dominated 100 Top Blogs By A Majority Of 49%.

Three years back the dominating one was the same with majority of 32%. But now the dominance is even greater, as the open source giant now provides (hosted & self-hosted) 49% of blogs on Technorati’s list, as per report of Royal Pingdom. While comparing the list of 2009 and 2012 Blogger (What we are using) lost their 3% to 2%.

As per the report, so many Blogging Platform including Typepad, Expressionengine, Bricolage had a dramatic decrease in this list. According to founding developer of WordPress Matt Mullenweg, much more growth is expected over the coming years:
The last few years we've really focused on both the usability and flexibility of WordPress, which has resulted in accelerating growth in both big and small sites. I expect even higher adoption among the largest sites and blogs over the next year.

And of course, wordpress has made an awesome growth in this three years when the number of Wordpress Self Hosted Blogs has moved to 5 to 40, a doubling of 8 times. Wordpress is offering much more features than all other Blogging Platforms. Thats the reason behind this growth of Wordpress as a CMS.  Royal Pingdum has made an excellent study on Wordpress and the reasons for growth. You Can Read It From Here

Weeks before famous Blogging Platform, Tumblr had crossed 20 Billion posts and About 50 Million hosted blogs. Hence the platform had achieved a big goal although it's service history. As a continuation to it and to gain more users, Tumblr has Introduced Facebook Timeline, News Feed, And Ticker Integration today. Tumblr adds :

New options include:

(They even get lumped together so they’re not overwhelming!)
You can find the new options in your blog settings. If your blog is already connected to Facebook, you’ll be automatically prompted to upgrade.

So Tumblr users can grab more visitors and fans by publicizing their contents to a most famous Social Networking Service. Of course it is a new feature in blogging while famous Blogging/CMS Platforms like Blogger and Wordpress never have talked about it.

There is needless to say that the integration features will surely provide Tumblr blogs a bunch of traffic and publicity since they are integrating service with Facebook.

WordAds ; A Challenge To Adsense

As you may know Wordpress had partnered with federated media publishing. And as a  continuation of this story, Wordpress is going to add their own ad service on Wordpress blogs. And Wordpress.com says that its more useful than Adsense ad service from Google. And this project is named WordAds. And there is no need to say that its a challenge to Google Adsense. If you are a Wordpress blogger and you like to use this service , you can mark your interest Here.

These words from Wordpress blog is enough to tell you what is Wordads. And you may notice a little bit of challenge for Google Here.

"Over the years one of the most frequent requests on WordPress.com has been to allow bloggers to earn money from their blog through ads.
We’ve resisted advertising so far because most of it we had seen wasn’t terribly tasteful, and it seemed like Google’s AdSense was the state-of-the-art, which was sad.
You pour a lot of time and effort into your blog and you deserve better than AdSense."
Wordpress blog post says that all Wordpress blogs will be able to use this service. Since the blogs for this service will be selected by the public visibility, custom domain, traffic, engagement, language used in blog.
