Famous Content Management System / Blogging Platform, Wordpress is now putting milestones in it's path of successful journey. The Blogging Platform now powers about 71 Million Blogs. As per the deep look of Technorati, Wordpress Has Dominated 100 Top Blogs By A Majority Of 49%.

Three years back the dominating one was the same with majority of 32%. But now the dominance is even greater, as the open source giant now provides (hosted & self-hosted) 49% of blogs on Technorati’s list, as per report of Royal Pingdom. While comparing the list of 2009 and 2012 Blogger (What we are using) lost their 3% to 2%.

As per the report, so many Blogging Platform including Typepad, Expressionengine, Bricolage had a dramatic decrease in this list. According to founding developer of WordPress Matt Mullenweg, much more growth is expected over the coming years:
The last few years we've really focused on both the usability and flexibility of WordPress, which has resulted in accelerating growth in both big and small sites. I expect even higher adoption among the largest sites and blogs over the next year.

And of course, wordpress has made an awesome growth in this three years when the number of Wordpress Self Hosted Blogs has moved to 5 to 40, a doubling of 8 times. Wordpress is offering much more features than all other Blogging Platforms. Thats the reason behind this growth of Wordpress as a CMS.  Royal Pingdum has made an excellent study on Wordpress and the reasons for growth. You Can Read It From Here
