Another tablet PC that enabling students to enter the world of Internet and computing is getting ready in the backstage of Indian education and technology field. The coming tablet is named as Classpad and is being developed by Classteacher learning systems. Classpad is expected to be available at a rate of $140 which is a little costly than the previous announced Ubislate and Aakash.
Classpad
Aakash tablet's aim was to make students aware about internet and computing and so it had no much features which makes a tablet PC famous But Classpad is trying to dedicate itself for education and students. As i said Classpad is costly than Ubislate but it can be neglected when comparing the features and facilities of both. Classpad tablet, which is meant for students between 3 and 12, comes with a capacitive touchscreen, 1.3 GHz processor, Android 2.2 operating system and a built-in memory of 4 GB which is expandable up to 8 GB. Classpad has a battery life of more than 6 hours which is much high when compared to Aakash. Classpad will be available for students as Classpad 7, Classpad 8, Classpad 10 etc. according to their standard of study.
Rohit Pande, chief executive officer, Classteacher Learning Systems said, "Our core area of expertise are education related material and through Classpad we wanted to bring students to the information highway.” Pande also said that "Within one month we start booking tablets for the masses and it will be have better configuration.” And i am waiting for this tablet PC for entering in India.
