The latest news states that Nokia has acquired Norwegian Mobile OS company Smarterphone. Smarterphone is a company which develops Operating System for so-called feature smartphones.
The news of the purchase, which was actually completed last November, comes straight from investment firm Ferd Capital, which pumped 6.5 million euros into Smarterphone since 2007. Nokia has now changed their devices's OS platform to Windows Phone from Symbian. So the aim behind this acquiring still remains unclear. The financial details about this deal is also under a veil.
