Joanna Shields, VP & Marketing Director EMEA at Facebook has announced that they [Facebook] are going to launch a Subscribe Button which allows users to stay updated with users activities anywhere on web. Actually this subscribe button is a nice one especially for web developers because Facebook is planning about a social plugin which is ready to be embedded on any websites. And this button is gonna help brands, personalities, journalists, to bring their fans or customers to get their updates just a click away.
“We will soon launch the Subscribe plugin, an extension of the Subscribe button, that publishers and other developers can add to their web sites to make it easy for people to connect to reporters and public figures in one click. We have no further details to share at this time.”

Shields says that Facebook is to debut the new social plugin “imminently”, suggesting the company could announce details of the widget later today. Actually, Facebook is looking to use its huge userbase to take the fight to the microblogging service, changing the way updates are posted. Most of the users use both page and personal so Facebook is giving an option which is enabling Facebook users to publicize their updates without making a page. Whatever it is, as a blogger and a Facebook user i am waiting for this subscribe button.
